Challenge
Seven days before the tour opening in Zurich, no existing cue system fit the requirements.
Yll Limani's TSN Tour 2026 opened with two sold-out 5,000-capacity nights. The show runs from stage-based Ableton LTC, requiring real-time coordination across nine departments and roles: FX, audio, lighting, VJ, director, broadcast, stage management, backline, and artist team.
Off-the-shelf solutions like QLab and CuePilot operate as master clocks themselves — but this production needed the stage as the clock source. No tool provided filtered views tailored to different roles across a local network without custom implementation.
Solution
CUE MONITOR was built in one week — concept through native deployment.
The system reads LTC from the stage clock and surfaces active cues to all teams simultaneously, with role-specific filtering. Cues match by timecode rather than list order, accommodating show variations between rehearsals and performances.
Each department receives customized information: lighting excludes backline notes, management omits cue numbers, broadcast hides production comments. A web remote enables access via any networked device — iPhones, iPads, laptops — with password protection and no installation required.
Details
One shared real-time reference instead of static PDFs, spreadsheets and radio coordination.
CUE MONITOR launched during the debut stadium-scale tour. ØJE handled full system development: concept, real-time architecture, UI design, native macOS and Windows builds, and cross-platform delivery within the tour timeline.
The switch reduced radio traffic and improved coordination clarity. Operators logged notes during performances, which the team used between dates to refine pacing progressively.

«We were in our own seats, watching the show, and we could feel the whole production breathing in sync.» — tour partner feedback
Following the opening leg, ØJE released CUE MONITOR as v1.0 beta, open source, for smaller crews on similar productions.
